She was a french fashion designer and businesswoman who was born in 19 August 1883 to Eugénie Jeanne Devolle Chanel, known as Jeanne. She is the only fashion designer listed on Time magazine list of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century. Let's see the start of her career and her early life first. When Gabrielle was 11, her mother died, and her father abandoned her to an orphanage. After a brief stint as a shopgirl, Chanel worked for a few years as a café singer.
